Bill Reddy, LAc, DiplAc

Bill Reddy started his career as an Aerospace Engineer, flight-testing helicopters with the U.S. Navy, launching satellites with the U.S. Air Force Space Test Program, and supporting the director of flight test for the Joint Strike Fighter program. He furthered his education pursuing master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology and Systems Engineering from George Mason University. In 1997, Reddy shifted careers, studying acupuncture and Oriental medicine under professors and graduates of Beijing and Shanghai medical schools at the Maryland Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Since then, he has focused on fostering collaboration between acupuncturists and physicians while advancing integrative health nationwide.

 

Reddy served on the executive committee of the Integrative Health Policy Consortium for seven years, including five years as co-chair of the Federal Policy Committee, and recently completed his term as an At-Large Director. He has presented at national conferences, such as the Integrative Healthcare Symposium, the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine, the International Congress of Integrative Medicine and Health, and the American Traditional Chinese Medicine Association. With over 150 publications to his name, Reddy is a recognized leader in his field. He enjoys training in tai chi, qigong, and modern arnis and owns Vital Point Acupuncture in Annandale, VA.
