Are there any contraindications for using probiotics to support positive mood?

For most people, probiotics use does not lead to negative side effects. In a few people, probiotic use may be associated with diarrhea and possibly headaches, although this has not been systematically documented. In such cases, alternative approaches to improve gut health such as exercise, improved diet, or possibly the use of prebiotics or other supplements may be an option.
