Resolving Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Trauma, Chronic Illness, and Chronic Pain by Rewiring the Brain

1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Tuesday September 19, 2023

In this hybrid educational and experiential session, Cureton will reveal the missing link to recovery for your patients who are stuck in an endless loop of stress physiology and illness. Whether the illness is mental or physical, this approach can not only help manage symptoms, but in many cases actually resolve it. The key is creating better regulation of the limbic and autonomic nervous systems. Not all approaches to rewiring the brain for optimal health are able to address the subconscious drivers of that dysregulation. In this presentation, you’ll learn how that is done through memory reconsolidation, and get to experience it for yourself.

Karen Cureton, ND

Karen Cureton, ND, LAc, is a licensed naturopathic physician, acupuncturist, passionate neuroplasticity practitioner, and co-creator of the Wired for Wellness program.

Through her own journey with complex chronic illness, anxiety, depression, and PTSD as well as from treating hundreds of patients with complex chronic illness, she realized the profound impact that stress physiology has on all aspects of health.  By rewiring her brain and rebalancing her nervous system, she was able to free herself from anxiety, depression, PTSD, many physical symptoms and stress patterns. She has since helped many clients do the same with diverse health issues, traumas, and self-sabotaging patterns. Cureton is now a firm believer that everyone with a chronic health issue will benefit from neural retraining, and in many cases it is critical to healing.
