Healthy Aging through the Spectrum of Phytonutrients: Using Plant Medicine for Perimenopause and Beyond

3:30 -4:30 pm Tuesday April 18, 2023

As women live longer, there is a question about the use of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) to enhance vitality, particularly for heart, bone, and brain. Leading medical organizations recommend the lowest dose of HRT for the shortest duration due to safety concerns since the Women’s Health Initiative. With hormones as a pivotal aspect of women’s health in the second half of life, health professionals have sought options to optimize quality of life and biomarkers of aging for peri- and post-menopausal patients. In this presentation, learn about the variety of nutrients, particularly phytonutrients, to help support women with their adaptogenic stress response, hormone levels and mood, digestion and detoxification, heart health, and bone.
