$31.5M: Series A for Prostate Care Platform
MaxQ Medical announced the closing of a $31.5 million Series A financing. Funds will be used to grow the team and advance the company’s clinical program. MaxQ Medical is developing a platform technology that combines advanced imaging with tissue-selective therapy in a single transurethral procedure, giving urologists full visibility inside the prostate and the ability to treat what they see, without the anatomic limitations of approaches that work from outside the prostate. The design is intended to preserve the urethra and minimize side effects, such as injury, swelling, bleeding, and impact on sexual function, which are common concerns with current treatment options. $26M: Series A for Mental Health Care for Youth
Flourish Health announced $26 million in Series A funding. The proceeds will support the company’s national expansion, in partnership with the largest health plans in the country. Flourish Health helps children and young adults overcome serious mental health challenges through an in-home care model that’s delivered by psychiatrist-led teams. Flourish Health patients are supported by a dedicated Care Pod of four coordinated professionals: a child and adolescent psychiatrist, licensed therapist, patient guide, and family guide. The company’s AI workflow platform enables these teams and the company to scale effectively by resolving most of the administrative burden so human clinicians can focus on human patients. $12.25M: Series A for Breathing and Sleep Disorder Devices
SoundHealth closed an oversubscribed Series A financing, bringing the company’s total funding to date to $12.25 million. The new capital will accelerate growth of SoundHealth’s portfolio of personalized, FDA-cleared therapeutics designed to treat population-scale breathing, as well as wellness devices targeted toward sleep disorders. The company’s flagship product, the Sonu band, has delivered more than 500,000 acoustic resonance treatment sessions for users ages 12 and up. $10M: Series B for Predictive Care Solution
Wellinks announced the closing of its $10 million Series B funding for commercial growth. The investment builds on Wellinks’ multiyear relationship with UMass Memorial Health and other partners to accelerate the expansion of Wellinks’ predictive care solution. Wellinks will use the proceeds to expand its commercial footprint, advance its predictive capabilities, and expand into additional cardiopulmonary conditions, including congestive heart failure. $7.5M: Financing for Parkinson’s Research Grants
The Parkinson’s Foundation announced an investment of more than $7.5 million across 55 grants to accelerate Parkinson’s disease research. Through these research grants, the foundation funds scientists conducting studies across various aspects of Parkinson’s to bring forward new therapies and ultimately a cure for the 10 million people worldwide living with this debilitating neurological disease. This year, the foundation added two new research award categories: Momentum Awards, which allow standout researchers to continue their work on translational, therapeutically focused projects from recently completed Parkinson’s Foundation awards, and Environmental Trigger Awards, introducing research of environmental factors linked to Parkinson’s that can inform policies that reduce harmful exposures at the state and federal level. $6M: Seed Financing for Menstrual Health Supplements
DITTO raised $6 million in a seed funding round that will support further research projects, the expansion of its science-led supplement portfolio, and efforts to reach more consumers. The company’s flagship product, Premenstrual Daily, targets symptoms linked to premenstrual syndrome and premenstrual dysphoric disorder, including fatigue, mood changes, and pain.
