Section 2706 of Affordable Care Act

AANP seeks to have states in which naturopathic physicians are licensed implement the “Nondiscrimination in Health Care” provision of Obamacare consistent with its original intent.  This will ensure that services provided by NDs are covered in health insurance plans presuming that the same services provided by other licensed healthcare professionals are also covered. State officials responsible for implementing and enforcing the nondiscrimination provision should ensure that insurers include naturopathic physicians in their plans, consistent with the legislative intent of the provision.
