The Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM) announced its 2023 Annual International Conference (AIC) will focus on clinical research and innovative practices within functional medicine. The conference will be held June 1-3 in Orlando, Fla., returning as an in-person event for the first time since 2019.

The educational event brings together expert speakers and healthcare providers from across the United States and countries worldwide who share a common goal of treating the root cause of diseases with whole-person medicine. This year’s conference will feature keynote speakers and plenary sessions on a range of topics within Functional Medicine, such as integrative oncology, longevity science, and environmental medicine.

“As the epidemic of chronic disease continues to rise, the availability of more personalized and sustainable approaches to healthcare that truly address the needs of each patient as an individual is more critical today than ever before,” said Amy R. Mack, MSES/MPA, IFM chief executive officer. “We are thrilled to be back in person at AIC 2023 to connect, learn, and innovate about the latest advances in functional medicine in order to improve health and well-being for patients worldwide.”

Speakers include prominent figures within functional medicine and integrative medicine such as Jeffrey Bland, PhD, FACN, CNS, cofounder of IFM, Mark Hyman, MD, IFMCP, board president for clinical affairs at IFM, and Melinda Ring, MD, director of the Osher Center for Integrative Health at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
