Naturopaths to Host Series of Health Fairs for the Whole Family
July 26, 2016
Keeping in line with its mission to increase American patients’ quality of life through integrated methods of care, health services and natural healthcare products, the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) has scheduled a series of health fairs intended to educate and invigorate families and individuals invested in comprehensive wellness. The first of these fairs is set to take place following AANP’s 31st Annual Convention & Exhibition, with attendees perusing the grounds of the Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort in Salt Lake City, Utah, for relevant wellness product and services. Attendees of the event – known as “Fun and Wellness for the Whole Family – A Health Fair for the Public” – will be able to join in on guided trail runs, family yoga sessions, a live cooking demonstration with nutritional tips, guided wildflower tours and educational talks by experts in the field. Those who register for the fair, which will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. MT on Saturday 30 July, will receive All-Day Activity Passes to all Snowbird activities at a discounted rate of $36.00 per person.“We are thrilled to host our inaugural public health fair at Snowbird this year,” said Ryan Cliche, the AANP executive director. “Fun and Wellness for the Whole Family is unique in that it is all about helping families take charge of their health in a fun and integrative way. Now, more than ever, people are eager to find natural methods for curing their ailments and preventing illness and this is the premier event that will meet these increasing demands.”Licensed naturopathic physicians (NDs) from across the United States will be in attendance, speaking on topics such as stress, leaky gut, cancer prevention, pediatric care, dermatology and nutrition, while exhibitors and vendors showcase their latest products and services throughout the allotted fair space. One such exhibitor, Absolute MMA – a Utah-based mixed martial arts gym – “will provide health and fitness tips for all ages and fitness levels and will showcase their classes,” noted AANP.
