Yoga is centuries old and its benefits have been passed down in ancient practice traditions.  Increasingly, the common ground between medical science and the fundamental elements of yoga have been acknowledged.  Now, there is medical validation that yoga practice conforms to modern therapeutic interventions.  This recorded session focuses on introducing the medical physiology behind the key yoga practices of breath, asanas (posture) and stillness (mindfulness). Therapeutic application of yoga practice to common clinical scenarios will be explored in an interactive style of teaching.  Recommendations for prescribing yoga in primary care treatment will also be discussed.
