This year Integrative Healthcare Symposium will feature four leading integrative functional nutrition and culinary nutrition pioneers Kathie Swift, Mary Beth AugustineRebecca Katz and Stefanie Sacks. These four women have turned their personal journeys and passion into remarkable professions that have influenced this field. They will be presenting on Saturday February 21st at 10:45am—Food and Nutrition Champions: A Socioecological Perspective and immediately following Katz and Sacks will dazzle attendees on the Expo floor with a culinary demo and tasting that literally translates the nutrition prescription to the kitchen. But it doesn’t stop there with these dynamos. They have proudly teamed up culinary nutrition tour de force Marti Wolfson and Natural Gourmet Institute in NYC to teach interactive cooking classes designed for medical, health, and wellness professionals where participants will learn about health-supportive ingredients and how to use them to maintain optimal health and alleviate and even reverse illness. Participants will prepare a delicious, nutrient-dense menu using local, organic and seasonal ingredients; followed by a lively communal meal to conclude the conference weekend.
