Jillian Capodice is the Director of Acupuncture and Integrative Service at the Center for Holistic Urology, Department of Urology, Columbia University Medical Center, New York, New York.
Her diverse background includes translational molecular biology research of single and mixed botanicals, maintenance of the in- and out-patient acupuncture practice within the department, clinical acupuncture research, and teaching and training of complementary and alternative medicine and acupuncture. She is also a faculty member in the Department of Biomedical Sciences, Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, New York, New York and maintains a private practice in Manhattan.
Her current research focuses on acupuncture clinical trials for conditions in urology and oncology supportive care. Her areas of interest include acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine clinical trial development, elucidation of biomarkers/physiologic components pertinent to the biological activity of acupuncture, and incorporation of mixed methods into acupuncture research and the integrative clinical setting. She is an active lecturer and has extensive publications on myriad topics such as acupuncture, complementary and alternative medicine and integrative urology.
