Calgary-CINIMThe Canadian Institute of Natural and Integrative Medicine (CINIM) is a registered charitable organization that conducts scientific research in complementary/alternative medicine (CAM). Projects are funded through private donations and project grants from public funding organizations.

CINIM is the first Canadian institution to be involved with the United States Consortium of Academic Health Centres for Integrative Medicine. In consort with the Faculties of Medicine and Nursing, the Calgary Health Region, and the Integrative Medicine Institute, CINIM is helping to fulfill the consortium’s mission to facilitate the transformation of health care.

CINIM aims to become a world-class research centre in the area of complementary and alternative medicine. Development of a research network that includes both alternative medicine research experts and alternative medicine practitioners will facilitate the rapid production of research outcomes. As a unique research centre indirectly associated with a clinical practice, CINIM provides the ideal setting for initiating and overseeing CAM studies
